With Scenario 1, you would be using Non Energy-Saving
Halogen (Incandescant) to produce the desired
lighting using a whopping 1,020 Watts of energy!
This would be the equivalent of running your
Microwave ALL NIGHT LONG! With Fixtures, Wiring,
Transformers, Bulbs (including bulb replacements),
and factoring in one year of energy usage, in this
scenario you would spend $4,140.02, including nearly
$900.00 a YEAR in energy bills! This is essentially throwing $750.00 in the trash the first year alone!
Now you factor in $115.00 per year in bulb
replacement and $900.00 per year in energy costs,
that's over $1,000.00 a year just to operate the
halogen fixtures! Compare that with just over $100.00
per year in LED operating costs (energy alone, no
changing bulbs for at least 10 years!).

With Scenario 2, you would be using Energy-Saving LED to produce the desired lighting using just
128.5 Watts of energy! This would be the equivalent of
running two classic 60 Watt Incandescant Bulbs all night
long... to light your entire yard! With Fixtures, Wiring, Transformers, Bulbs (bulbs last 10+ years, no replacing!),
and factoring in one year of energy usage, in this
scenario you would spend $3,385.57, including less than
$115.00 a YEAR in energy bills! This scenario is a
no-brainer.
COMMON MYTHS ABOUT LED LIGHTING DEBUNKED:
MYTH #1: LED Light looks bluish, and I only like the yellowish incandescant look that I'm used to.
WRONG. Our exclusive, Superior LED light bulbs now come standard in Warm White 3500K, has been tested to look 95.6% similar to a Halogen beam. No one else can promise you this! We also offer Cool White LED bulbs that are very White without that ugly "bluish" look inferior LED bulbs have.
MYTH #2: LED Lighting is too expensive to justify the initial cost vs. long term benefits.
WRONG. See the charts above to see how much you can
save! You have to factor in how much you plan on using the
lights. If you are using the lights for say security/motion
sensor, or an occasional task light, it may be more
economical to go with standard Halogen. However,
if you plan on using the lights daily or often, LED is
definitely an economical no-brainer!
MYTH #3: LED requires expensive drivers and transformers to operate correctly.
WRONG. With our new compact driver technology, all of our LED Bulbs are self-ballasted, and run best on a DC 12 Volt
LED Transformer (but can also usually run on an AC transformer). We recommend using our DC LED Transformer for optimal bulb life (we've been told it can extend the bulb's useful life by an additional FIVE years (making it 15 years
total life), as well as giving the bulbs effortless dimmability with a standard low voltage dimmer!). Essentially, LED bulbs operate just like standard Halogen bulbs!
MYTH #4: LED Bulbs are not dimmable, or flicker when dimmed.
WRONG. Most of our LED Bulbs are fully dimmable with a standard dimmer. |
